[Announcement] What's next?

Hello hello!

Just some keepalives to make sure everyone sees we're alive and kicking. I promised more updates, so here I am.

You may be wondering, what's next? Well, if you've played the latest version, you're probably aware that we've been adding minigames to play, each offering a better bonus for a specific character, however we decided to focus on making the 3 we put in as good as we could. This meant we weren't able to finish the other two planned. So, upcoming the next update for the demo, you'll be getting the next two character's minigames, totaling in 5! That, plus the konbini and the baseball, I think you should have enough to go for the time being, but make sure to voice your concerns!

Tl;Dr, next update will contain two more minigames in the "Interaction" section.

Aside from that, I have been worrying about the content in the main game. Having a multiple character/route visual novel always puts a toll on how fleshed out characters are, and how much people care about each individual character. Heck, me myself have my preferences as I write them, so of course I would understand you don't care about certain ones. This makes it hard to strike a balance between those who like a character (they would obviously like to see more of it), and those who don't (they want to skip the content as soon as possible). However, sadly for the latter, I think it's always better to have characters be as fleshed out as possible. As such, I have changed the way you talk to the characters. Before, our idea was to simply add more options, replace those who were generic and make characters drop hints about their likings here and there. But, that's no longer the case. We've came up with a small yet complex system that makes sure that if you want to get the most out of each interaction, you'll have to spend time learning about the characters, and use that knowledge to your favor. We'll listen to your feedback once the system comes out.

Tl;Dr, next update will feature a revamped "Talk" system.

That's it for now, as far as confirmed changes goes. As you can see, our idea is to make each interaction feel different from each other, and make sure that whenever you press an option it's not just "another choice" you chose. We know this can, and will, push back the Visual Novel purists who only want to read without necessarily playing minigames or participating in more complex systems, so we will always keep that in mind and offer a more direct, traditional way of getting the same rewards without having to do the same actions over and over.

After all, we believe that a game is good when you play it again out of your own volition rather than because we force you to, isn't it?

That said, thanks for reading this far, and I hope you have a great day, see you around!
